Okay - problem solved but don't really know exactly how; but Dariusd got me started down the right path. I was at VMWare 4.1.x last week and recently upgraded to v5.0.3. I don't remember having these problems before. When I launched my VMWare images that were running in v4.1.x in v5.0.3, I was initially asked if I wanted to upgrade the VM and I said no. I relaunched the VM today (after deleting all of the files and un-raring the images again) and answered Yes this time to upgrade. However, right after I tried to upgrade the VM I received the "not enough memory available" error message again. So I then when into the settings, as Dariusd suggested, and changed the processor count to 1 and changed the memory value: however, this did not work. BUT, I did it again, changed the processor count to 4 and then lowered the memory to 1024 as VMWare suggested. THIS WORKED! So I don't know if it was the attempted upgrade of the VM memory size (which I doubt) or changing it to 4 processors along with the memory update. Either way I'm up and thanks!
